Good buildings don’t happen by accident. They come from testing ideas, traveling to find better materials, and refusing to settle for “good enough.” That’s the path that led to our insulated shed company.
Where It Started
In early 2025, our team went to the International Builders’ Show with a clear goal: figure out how to build a better shed.
Most sheds on the market are built for low cost and quick assembly, but not for real everyday use. We wanted something different—structures that are comfortable, durable, customizable, and still affordable.
At IBS we studied materials, manufacturing systems, and construction methods used across the building industry. That trip helped us narrow down what could work and what wouldn’t.
But it was only the beginning.
Going Straight to the Source
To take things further, we traveled to Turkey to meet directly with manufacturers and suppliers. Instead of ordering materials through multiple middlemen, we wanted to understand how things were actually made and where quality differences came from.
Working with sourcing specialist Ferhat Durgun, we visited suppliers, evaluated materials, and built relationships that allowed us to secure high-quality components at realistic prices.
That step turned a concept into something we could actually build.
Testing the Right Way to Build
Before settling on our current system, we experimented with several different construction methods.
We explored light-gauge steel framing, looking at durability and manufacturing efficiency. We studied carcass-style panel systems that allow fast assembly but can be limited in insulation performance. Each approach taught us something important.
Eventually we moved to structurally insulated panels (SIPs).
SIPs gave us the balance we were looking for:
- Strong structure
- Excellent insulation
- Fast construction
- Consistent quality
- Lower long-term cost
After months of research, prototyping, and refinement, it became clear this approach delivered the best overall product for customers.
